Post Violence Care Centre modular design

Share

NACOSA applied for funding from the 1st for Women Foundation to design and develop a modular, victim-centred post-violence care facility for Diepsloot in Gauteng. This proved to be catalytic, leading to NACOSA being able to secure more funding from the Global Fund to build three similar centres. The innovative, modular ‘courtyard’ design by JFC Architects has won an international award for healthy social infrastructure and has been adopted by the National Prosecuting Authority for other centres moving forward.

This approach was presented as a poster at the Healthy City Design conference in Liverpool, UK.
