NACOSA GLOBAL FUND PROGRAMME 2013-2016

As principal recipient for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, NACOSA worked to build the capacity of community organisations, scale-up prevention programmes for the most at-risk populations, increase the coverage and uptake of HIV counselling and testing, increase access to services for people living with HIV and strengthen support for orphaned and vulnerable children.

  • R423.4m in funding disbursed
  • 108 organisations strengthened
  • 47 out of 52 districts
  • 9 South African provinces
  • A1 rating (the highest) for grant performance

The stories, evaluation reports, guides and research presented here are a celebration of Phase II of this programme, the organisations and people who made it happen and what it achieved for the AIDS response in South Africa. It is also a resource for sharing our lessons and learning to inform future programming.
