Youth Summit 2023 Report

NACOSA’s Youth Summit provided a platform for addressing the critical issue of gender-based violence. The summit, attended by 86 young leaders and ambassadors, along with NACOSA staff and partners, highlighted the urgency of adopting a multi-sectoral, youth-friendly, and inclusive approach to combat GBV effectively. The event’s theme, Youth rising against GBV and HIV was shaped by the young people we work with and guided by the principles of the National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF). Annual Report 2019

Together with our partners and network, NACOSA has developed programmes that address challenges on the ground by taking note of local organisations and including key and vulnerable populations in the design of interventions. We also use our specialist expertise, backed up by the extensive experience of our finance, monitoring and evaluation and administrative staff. It is this collective knowledge that helps us to achieve success in reaching more people than ever before with programming that meets communities’ needs. Read more about this in our Annual Report >

Partnership in Action

As principal recipient for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria between 2013 and 2016, NACOSA worked to build the capacity of community organisations, scale-up prevention programmes for the most at-risk populations, increase the coverage and uptake of HIV counselling and testing, increase access to services for people living with HIV and strengthen support for orphaned and vulnerable children. A series of postcards celebrates the achievements of this grant. Get the full stories from these postcards, as well as evaluation reports and other useful links here: PORTRAITS >
