RFI: Working with OVCY in Ehlanzeni

NACOSA are looking for an implementing partner working with Orphans and Vulnerable Children and Youth (OVCY) in Mpumalanga Province: Ehlanzeni District. The project, funded by the American people through USAID and PEPFAR, aims to address HIV prevention and the spectrum of violence against vulnerable children and adolescent youth & young women using an evidence-based, ecological approach to provide interventions at the individual, family and community level.

Programme activities include:

  1. Assessment of high-risk families for violence and vulnerability.
  2. Prevention of HIV and violence focusing on changing harmful socio-cultural attitudes, beliefs and inequalities through range of evidence-based programmes.
  3. Response to HIV and violence to ensure appropriate care and support is offered to programme beneficiaries.
  4. Strengthening community systems to prevent and respond to violence. Successful implementing partners will be required to ensure bi-directional linking of OVCY and GBV service provision in the selected geographic area.
