MEMBER PROFILE
Over 123 children rely on Sinethemba Youth Support Group's care. In the afternoons, founder Elizabeth Nomakhosazana Mqela's home is bursting at the seams with children. It's a place of joy where the children can play, sing, dance and even learn how to sew, while at night her light is always on for those that need a place of safety or care. Elizabeth established Sinethemba in 1991 and has done an incredible job at keeping it running since.

“Apart from the training that we get from NACOSA there’s also the network that NACOSA started. Being part of NACOSA you will always be informed what is going on in the Western Cape, in the various regions. We’ve really built up some relationships with other organisations in the regions through NACOSA.”
- Reverend John Phillips, Chairman, Lambert’s Bay AIDS Network
