Training

By offering a combination of training workshops and structured mentoring, we help small, community-based organisations make major strides in developing their capacity.

NACOSA's training track record speaks for itself: organisations that attend our workshops are better equipped to manage their organisations, better able to attract funding and more successful at maintaining that funding.

Our workshops are co-facilitated and participant numbers never exceed 30. We provide training manuals to help participants implement what they have learned in their organisations.  NACOSA also undertakes invoice-based training workshops for selected organisations. Contact us to inquire about invoice-based training.

Training themes
NACOSA staff and management carefully discuss the training content of workshops, tailoring them to our members' needs. Training themes are often requested by partners and organisations. Our training workshops include:

  • Accounting
  • Monitoring and reporting
  • Proposal Writing
  • Project Management
  • HR – managing staff
  • Conflict resolution
  • Meeting community needs
  • NPO registration and constitutions
  • Governance

Accreditation status
NACOSA has submitted its application for accreditation to the Services SETA and has in response received a Letter of Intent. This letter accords WC-NACOSA the right to conduct trainings and to clients of NACOSA, the right to reclaim a part of the skills levies paid to the government, for training provided by NACOSA.

We are currently awaiting a SETQAA verification site visit as the next step in the process to full accreditation.
