PARTNER PROFILE

HOPE worldwide is an international non-profit, faithbased organisation. Since 1991, HOPE worldwide Africa has been involved in community-based HIV/AIDS care, support and prevention efforts.

The needs of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) are tremendous. In an effort to mitigate the situation, HOPE worldwide has developed a model for mobilising communities to develop coping mechanisms and safety nets in order to improve the well-being and protection of OVC.

This is done through developing and supporting Child Support Groups, Child Care Forums, Kids
Clubs, and running Kids Camps. Support Groups function in schools, faith organisations and in the wider community. HOPE worldwide assist, train and mentor other NGOs and community groups, to replicate the support services in new sites.

NACOSA works with a variety of partners across the HIV/AIDS sector. Together with our partners - and our donors - we are making real strides in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the Western Cape.

Partner Profile

The Sustainability Institute is an international living and learning centre located outside the South African university town of Stellenbosch. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Cape's towering mountains and rooted in an agricultural community needing to break free from its' racial past, the Sustainability Institute provides a space for people to explore an approach to creating a more equitable society that lives in a way that sustains rather than destroys the eco-system within which all society is embedded.
