NACOSA has developed an excellent relationship with government at many levels. Much of our core work is funded by local and provincial government.

Although we are in partnership with government, we remain completely independent and accountable to our members.

Provincial
We have partnerships with various provincial ministries, the Premier, the Minister of Health, the Provincial Cabinet and Provincial Legislature.

Our funding partners include the Western Cape Department of Health, Education Department, Department for Social Development and the City of Cape Town.

National NACOSA has worked in close collaboration in the past with the HIV/AIDS Directorate at both national and provincial level. We have also provided assistance to the National AIDS Directorate Funding Unit in sharing its skills and tools with other provinces. We are a memeber of the Funding Units funding allocation committee.

We are also funded by the National Development Agency.
