Questions and answers on the restricted call for Technical Assistance to Design an Economic Strengthening Programme for Young Women, issued by the Young Women & Girls programme.

In relation to consultants:

What is the expected timeframe for the consultation, proposal writing and finalizing the call for proposals?

This short term assignment should be completed within a 2-3 week period, from 6-25 September 2017. If required the timeline can be extended to 29 September as the Call for Proposals will be published on 01 October 2017.

What constitutes a Conflict of Interest on part of consultant / consulting organisation?

The consultant / consulting organisation awarded with this short term assignment will not be eligible to respond to the Call for Proposals (to implement the Economic Strengthening Programme).

In relation to the Call for Proposals:

Will partners to be appointed be ‘Mexico City Policy’ compliant as required if one is receiving USAID funding?

The Mexico City Policy does not affect the YW&G Grant.

Is there a proposed use of the existing materials or is there a possibility of the use of any other curriculum based training programme manuals and other resources?

The curricula has not yet been determined. The consultant / consulting organization must be able to recommend evidenced-based curricula for the task team to consider.

Will Technical Assistance (TA) for the implementing partners be considered?

Technical Assistance (TA) will be considered. The consulting processes with clarify if TA will be incorporated into the Proposal or whether it will be outsourced.
