Process Evaluation of the GBV Programme

NACOSA and AFSA are calling for proposals for an evaluation of the Global Fund GBV Programme in Thuthuzela Care Centres (TCCs). The programme is funded as part of the Global Fund Investing for Impact against Tuberculosis and HIV grant. The programme places qualified social auxiliary workers (SAWs) or ‘first responders’ as well as social workers at 43 Thuthuzela Care Centres (TCCs) and designated centres nationally through a number of implementing organisations. The programme will reach 60 625 sexual violence victims by the end of the grant period.

The evaluation will explore the progress and quality of the TCC component of the GBV programme; establish the current and potential role of the programme around follow-up, HTS and adherence to PEP treatment; make recommendations in order to further strengthen the programme and the quality of services provided. The timeframe for the evaluation is September 2017 – March 2018.
